Ah, what can I say. I think I made one of the best purchases I've made in a very long time this past weekend. And what was it pray tell? Well, it was the first and second season of The Muppet Show!

What can I say but this show totally stands up to the test of time. Even now we watch the first few episodes and we laugh, we cry, we smile. It's just one of those shows you can't help but enjoy.

For anyone else hoping to give it a shot or wanting to relive a little bit of their past, just head on over to HMV. Season 1 is now only $16.99 & season 2 now only $19.99. They finally dropped in price and I'm sure glad they did. :)

Must say I've definitely been on an oldies binge of late. A lot of my childhood favourites. Within the last couple of months we've seen the release of the first seasons of both Transformers and G.I.Joe. Looking back at them now they're hillarious. Poor animation, poor artwork and a number of errors in them but hey, I still gotta love em.

Ahh, finally back online after nearly a week and a half. Had some net troubles there but seems like they're all fixed now. Haven't been too busy lately, but definitely busy enough. A new Gremlin painting can be found in the illustration area of the site now.

My latest zoo images can also be found in the photography area. Gotta love the zoo, especially now with it's new Tundra exhibit with 3 new polar bears. Can't say I'm ever really disappointed by a trip to the zoo.

And on a last note, the new Tales of Monkey Island Chapter 1 was finally released on Wii Ware. It was the first time I actually hooked my Wii up to the net to get anything but this first chapter was well worth the experience. It's about time they came out with a new one, and now I can't wait for Chapter 2. Same old humour. Same old style. It may have been a bit short, but being Wii Ware and only the first chapter of the game, I'd still say it was well worth the purchase.

So I thought I'd make two entries today. Mostly because I just recently finished up my newest illustration. I'm still touching up the "Not a taxi." image you see below with the elephant so that's why you haven't seen that one yet, but in the meantime I figured I'd do a quick portrait study. Since I'd never done portraits before I chose a recognizeable celebrity, and then I pushed myself to see just how close I could get the likeness.

Celebrity I picked was Avril Lavigne. You can see a small sampling of it to the right here. For a larger image check out my illustration gallery. :)

And I promise I'll get the "Not a taxi." image finished up and posted soon!

So I was going to post a small video from the concert I went to awhile back but the videos seemed a little large and I didn't want to hog my bandwidth with it. That and I didn't want to take the time to check out youtube and its hosting services. Anyway, concert was awesome and I've also found me a new band I like.

Concert included the bands Blue Rodeo, Theory of a Deadman, Hedley and a headline of Our Lady Peace. All excellent bands though I can't really say Hedley was my cup of tea. Always liked OLP so I loved seein them live but it was Theory that really impressed me. First time hearing them or seeing them. Bought the CD afterwards and this is the first time I've said it, but they're 10 times better live than their CD...and they've got a great CD. :P So yah, check em out.

On another note, last weekend the wife and I went to the Trenton Air Show. Saw a lot of great vintage planes including the Spitfire, Corsair, and Lancaster. Also got to see the Snowbirds performance which I can't really put into words. If you get a chance to see them, go for it. However, if you need to see some of the stuff they do, check out the air show in my photo gallery. My CSS is still a bit funky here so you'll just have to click the link above.

But here's a quick sampling of the gallery. Check the gallery out for larger images and a much larger selection.

Just thought I'd give you a quick look into my most recent illustration. Still in the works but here it is. "Not a Taxi". Within the next few days I should have a final version for everyone to see. :)

It's Saturday morning and I've prepared for the endless display of mediocre toonage that plays out these days. It's Saturday morning. You have to watch cartoons on Saturday morning. However today was a bit of a surprise. Teletoon Retro's playing an all-day marathon of the original G1 Transformers cartoon. Awesome!

You just can't beat the old hasbro cartoons of my childhood. Well, I know where I'll be sitting for at least a few hours today.

Ok, so we did the right thing tonight. Couple days ago we found a bunny out on our front lawn. My wife rushed out and got some food and a cage and some toys and we fed and looked after the bunny. And what a cute bunny it was with loads of character. It would even jump itself up onto the couch, lay down and watch tv with me.

However, we found out the bunny could possibly be the people who live right across the street. So we went over and talked to them and they said they'd lost a pet recently. When I said we'd found a little bunny the little boys eyes lit right up. So yah, we returned the bunny to it's rightful owners and took back all the stuff my wife had bought other than the food. We just gave that to the people across the road.

Right thing to do but we are sad to see her go. :(

A little tidying around the website. Fixed the main image up so it now includes captions. Not to mention the links page is now working! Woo hoo! Check out the links for some of my favourite artists and sites, including ImagineFX, James Jean, Alberto Ruiz and Nick Miles!

Though there's only a few sites on the list at the moment, it's sure to double in size over the next little while. If I'd stop playing Mass Effect and watching movies like Fan Boys I'd probably get a lot more done. Fan Boys was great for the geek and nerd alike. As I've found out though, when watching these kinds movies it's best to keep your mouth shut. It's alright if your wife knows your a bit of a geek, but when you open your mouth during movies like these she finds out just how much of a geek you really are. :P

Alrighty, so I figured I'd do up a quick change to the sites style here. I think it fits the theme a little better and I've started playing with CSS and Slideshow Pro. It's interesting trying to incorporate them. Check out Slideshow Pro, it's a great flash bit and it has a stand-alone version that doesn't even need flash to modify it. :)

I'd link the word but my CSS is screwin it up a bit. So here's the link here for you: http://slideshowpro.net/

Well the wife and I went to the zoo last Sunday and I've finally finished up the post-production on the videos. Move on over to the photographs site and take a gander.

Well, there has been a little luck and I've got to feel quite flattered. Last night I signed up on and uploaded my newest artwork to the Official Corel Painter Magazine website. The surprise then came when I woke up first thing this morning.

Not only had my artwork made it through the approval process, but one of my images "Android Exploration" had been chosen as the image of the week. I think I'm still blushing from the honour.

Thanks Painter Magazine! http://www.paintermagazine.co.uk/

And it's up! The photography gallery has now been revamped, retooled and completely updated. Take a gander and enjoy the animals of the Metro Toronto Zoo, or you can also take a look through the wedding and honeymoon pictures of both Ang and I.

Though most images were taken by myself or my wife, it would have been really hard for us to take the images of our own wedding. Those images were taken by Paunch over at EverlastingMoments.com

Just click here and choose the gallery you'd like to view: Photographs

Ok, so I decided to make some more modifications and change it up a bit. There isn't a whole lot working at the moment. Sorry! :)

Alrighty. So I haven't gotten to the actual wedding photos yet. Haven't decided what I want to place up on the web yet and whether I want to use the photos provided by friends and family or go to the trouble of scanning the ones the photographers gave us.

However, I did manage to get the honeymoon photos up. So enjoy. :)

Though this is the only page up on the site at the moment, be asured that there is much more to come. For the moment though, a bit of blogging.

007 Quantum of Solace

Apart from working on this site and playing video games all afternoon I managed to go out and watch the new James Bond movie. I'd have to say it was a rather good movie and well worth the Bond name. Non-stop action throughout and rarely slowed down for a breather. One thing I'm not sure if I miss or not, is the absence of the classic but slow dialogue between Bond and his Bond Girl. As I mentioned, it's non-stop action for the most part. My only complaint really is the abrupt scene change near the end of the movie and an inappropriately long crotch shot that just wasn't necessary and in somewhat poor taste. Other than though it was well worth the watch and recommendation.

Fables Cover Collection

I can't say enough good things about this book. Collecting the James Jean covers of the Fables comic book, this book is by far one of the best art books I've picked up. It's a wonderful combination of WIPs and final procucts.
